Skills the Finals & World Cafe FF Concrete

On 21 and 22 March 2024, the Brabanthallen in
‘s-Hertogenbosch will be the stage for Skills The Finals, the annual event where hundreds of pupils and students compete to become Dutch champions in their field.

With Worldskills Netherlands and five other mbo schools in Brabant (De Rooi Pannen, Koning Willem I College, ROC Ter AA, Summa College and Yuverta), SintLucas is closely involved in the organisation of the event with an expected attendance of 15,000.

We are also organising the networking event ‘Wereldcafé FF Concreet’ in the Mainstage of the Brabanthallen together with Koning Willem I College and Yuverta. The central theme of this event is a sustainable, inclusive future.

World Cafe FF Concrete: Meet The Makers of the Future!

As MBOs, we have the world of tomorrow high on our agenda. With the World Café, we show how we are working with other organisations to make the environment better, more sustainable and more inclusive. The World Café consists of a central meeting square surrounded by 17 zones linked to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For each zone, we will show student projects from the three schools that focus on the relevant SDG. Inspiration sessions and meetings will take place on the meeting square to share ideas and insights for a better world.

We offer companies and organisations the opportunity to give substance to an SDG and present themselves as socially engaged partners to a large audience consisting of companies, (educational) institutions and policymakers.

LOB Experience: experiencing professions

Doing and experiencing is what the LOB Experience is all about. Besides visiting the competitions, young people from vmbo and mbo can orientate on their future during the event. With some 90 profession-oriented activities at the LOB Experience, they discover and experience what professions there are and what they like. The LOB Experience offers schools an excellent opportunity to prepare their students for their choice of study. SintLucas offers a number of activities.

Would you, as an organisation, like to be prominently featured by the region’s makers of the future? This is possible by sponsoring Skills The Finals in the form of a monetary contribution or in kind to make the LOB Experiences possible.

If you would like to know more about the events or sponsorship opportunities, please contact Marion Henckens.
