Will you make the new poster for your favourite festival?
Imagine, you are supplied with the corporate identity of a festival such as Tomorrowland and your job is to create an eye-catching poster based on this. How do you ensure that this poster immediately attracts attention and makes people enthusiastic? In the programme All-round Media Maker, we teach you the skills to achieve this!
Of course, you will eventually be able to do much more than just make posters as a media maker. At the end of the programme, you will, for example, be able to create (interactive) brochures, packaging, posters, apps or websites. That way, you will be fully prepared for the professional field. Enthusiastic?

What am I doing?
You often work from a rough design created by a designer, if you do not work with a designer you are able to create a proposal for an expression independently.
To achieve the right result, you mainly use your laptop. We will make sure you get to grips with various layout and image editing software. Think of Adobe programmes such as Photoshop or Illustrator. You will also discover all about the latest developments in AI and prepare content for social media and animations.
What am I making?
As an All-round media maker, you will work on a variety of projects: from posters and flyers to book covers and packaging. But also interactive websites, apps and social media content.
What am I learning?
As an All-round media maker, you create various digital files such as brochures, packaging, posters, apps and websites. During the programme, you will learn how to realise these (online and offline) expressions. You will learn to build (digital) files technically and work with sketches, layout, text, typography, colour corrections and other forms of image editing. In addition to the general subjects, you will learn vocational subjects. You work with professional software for layout and image editing and learn about interactivity and animation.
Where do I do my internship?
Based on your interests and learning wishes, you choose an AM-accredited internship company yourself, with our help. You will do two six-month internships during the three-year programme.
Watch the video of Mirthe’s internship at Spiegel crossmedia communication here.
What should I be able to do and like?
Naturally, you like working on the computer. You go for detail and quality and have a feel for form and colour. New media and technological developments interest you. You can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. It is important to you that you deliver the best product to the client within the specified time.
What can I do after SintLucas?
After graduating, you can work as an All-round media maker at printers, publishers, advertising agencies, multimedia agencies or in the communications department of a company or organisation.
You can also progress to the level 4 Media Design programme for further specialisation and wider career opportunities. This allows you to earn two diplomas (All-round Media Maker and Media Design) within five years.
How does application and admission work?
You will apply for the programme of your choice via our website from 1 November 2024. After your application, you will receive an invitation for a matching interview at SintLucas. During an interview with a teacher and student from the study programme of your choice, together we will see if you and SintLucas are a match. Above all, we have an open and relaxed conversation, so you can make a good study choice. In preparation for the interview, you can bring (creative) work with you. It is also possible to make an assignment. After the interview, you will receive a study advice. This advice can be positive (we think you fit in with SintLucas and the study programme) or negative (we think another school and study programme would suit you better). Even with a negative recommendation, you are admissible at SintLucas. We trust that you will make a good study choice with our advice. Read more about application and admission here.
If you have a question about this, please send an e-mail to aanmelding@sintlucas.nl.
