One in ten people who menstruate in the Netherlands suffers from menstrual poverty; there is often no money for menstrual products. On the initiative of the Student Council, SintLucas set out to find a solution to this problem.
Since mid-March, the school has hung dispensers on the most frequently used toilets at both the Boxtel and Eindhoven locations. From these lockers, students, pupils and staff can get free tampons and sanitary towels.
In cooperation with an anonymous donor, the dispensers were purchased, containing both sanitary pads, and tampons made of organic cotton.
